Sin embargo, la mayor\u00eda de las escuelas secundarias de hoy todav\u00eda siguen ese modelo original, hasta sentarse en escritorios y escuchar largas conferencias.<\/p><p>Los nuevos conocimientos de la ciencia del aprendizaje y la investigaci\u00f3n sobre el desarrollo del cerebro adolescente sugieren que el modelo jer\u00e1rquico no es muy efectivo. Gracias a la ciencia del aprendizaje, ahora sabemos que todas las personas retienen el conocimiento de manera m\u00e1s efectiva cuando el aprendizaje es pr\u00e1ctico e inmersivo. De manera similar, los neurocient\u00edficos han descubierto que los adolescentes est\u00e1n especialmente sintonizados con lo que es relevante para sus vidas y sus identidades.
