Parental roles in American schools are different from those in much of the world. In many American schools, parents are considered part of the learning team. In other words, there’s often an expectation of parental involvement – both with the school and with the child’s learning at home. In this video, an award-winning teacher shares her vision of parent-teacher partnerships for parents who may have come from a school system with different expectations.
