In this video, school leaders who oversee schools with a high percentage of Spanish-speaking families share what they think are some of the crucial differences that families from Latin America should understand.
In the U.S., the quality and rigor of high schools vary widely: some prepare almost all of their students for college and some don’t. Similarly, in the U.S., high school curricula vary based on the goals and the themes of the school. In contrast, in many Latina American schools, there’s more uniformity in the curricula and graduation requirements at the high school level.
